Meet Mana Island Sailing Adventures

Owner and skipper Michael Peters has been sailing the Cook Strait area and Marlborough Sounds for more than a decade. There are lots of places that are old favorites and lots of places still to be explored. Some of the best destinations include Bay of Many Coves, Furneaux Lodge in Endeavour Inlet and Ship Cove - the beginning of the internationally famous Queen Charlotte walking track. I can take you there and many other places in the safety and comfort of an ocean going yacht.

The yacht "Paikea" is a production built steel Roberts 345 - internationally recognised for its strength and seaworthiness in the roughest of offshore waters. Paikea was originally used for offshore passage making and has carried its owners safely on extended blue water cruises of the pacific islands, including Tonga, Fiji and New Caledonia.

Government rated for international blue water cruising, Paikea is now approved for domestic commercial charter work under Maritime New Zealand's Safe Ship Management system. The skipper, Michael, has commercial launchmaster and coastal skipper qualifications.

Give sailing a go! I can also teach you the basics of keel boat sailing, and give you essential tips about sailing the Cook Strait and the Marlborough Sounds that will allow you to traverse these waters in safety and confidence.  Bring the whole  team and make an exciting day of it!
